Bobby Smith

My name is Pastor Bobby. I have had the privilege to be the Pastor at Strange Creek Independent Baptist Church for over five years. I am a graduate of Crown College in Powell, TN. I have been teaching middle and high school since 2018. God gave me a burden two years ago to start a Christian School in my community and within the two years we've seen God do amazing things to make Alethia Christian School happen!
I've been married to my wife Tonya for since 2009 and we raise two teen boys. I enjoy hiking, hunting and reading.
Miriam Becker

My name is Miriam Becker. My husband, Doug, and I have been married for 26 years and live in Roane County with our 8 children. While homeschooling our children for ten years, I transitioned into Christian education, where I have enjoyed serving students in a classroom setting. Although, I have taught kindergarten, my passion is helping upper elementary students grow academically, spiritually, and personally. Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and being involved in our local church. Our family loves campfires, walks, movie nights, and making memories together.
Katie Becker

Hello, my name is Katie Becker. I live on a small farm in Roane County, West Virginia, with my large and loving family. I have a deep appreciation for plants and anything that reflects God’s creation. Over the past three years, I have poured my heart into working with special needs children as a teacher’s aide in a self-contained classroom. This experience has strengthened my passion for creating a supportive, patient, and encouraging learning environment where every student feels valued. I love being creative and strive to make my classroom a calm, welcoming space that is both engaging and grace-filled. My goal is to reflect Christ’s love through kindness, understanding, and intentional care for each child. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to be part of a Christ-centered school community and look forward to supporting both the academic and spiritual growth of my students.

Hello! My name is Grace Smith, and I am so blessed to be teaching at Alethia Christian School! I grew up in a Christian home with five siblings. My family were missionaries, so I have spent the majority of my life in Canada. I recently graduated from Vision Baptist College with my Bachelor’s degree in Missions and Biblical Counseling. My prayer as a teacher is to instill a Biblical worldview in my students. I strive to do this by creating a warm, loving environment where Biblical truths are woven into everything we learn. When I am not in the classroom, you can usually find me baking sweet treats and bread, hiking outdoors, or curled up with a good book.
Tonya Smith

Hello, my name is Tonya Smith. I was born and raised in Strange Creek, WV. I've been married to Bobby Smith for nearly 17 years and we have two teenage boys. I gave my heart to Jesus when I was 8 years old while attending the church my husband pastors now. We love to serve in the ministry together as a family and I'm so excited to be a part of the Alethia Christian School Family. My prayer for myself, students and staff members is that we will strive to be more like Jesus. When I'm not working I love to be with my family, camping, riding SXS or watching a movie.
